Proper & Right education is essential to shape a responsible person who later in future becomes the building block of a good society. We are certainly responsible for building a better society and creating peace on earth.
We, PRAYASm Charitable Trust, started daily and weekly programmes to educate students at special children homes (Orphanages) in major courses such as Maths, English & Social Science from 2015 when PRAYAS Social Club was just a small social club. We try to make it a fun session with games in which they can learn something new. Only bookish knowledge is not enough for holistic growth of a child. Due to pandemic’s unprecedented times we could not continue that work. But, we try to teach them basic understanding of life on different occasions. Drawing competitions, Cricket tournaments and other game competitions at children home are organized to encourage their skills in activities apart from academics.
We arrange short trips for the children of Special children home to Science City, Vaishno Devi, Iskon etc. Sometimes we also take them to theatres for movies.
We spread awareness to the public about ethics and sensitization towards their surroundings which include plants, trees, forests, lakes, rivers, mountains, lands and also other human beings especially other gender. Nukkad Drama and small talks, Seminars and online talk shows for women awareness and mental health awareness programmes are also part of our education strategy.
In Future We, PRAYASm Charitable Trust wants to start LIBRARIES as the first step towards educating people. Libraries will house all types of books, free to read and rent at very low cost. Entry would be on an hours or daily basis. Library will organize events like book fair, Motivational & Ethical Talk Shows, Constructive Activities at weekend like tree plantation and awareness programmes.
Second goal is to start A SCHOOL with a curriculum including ethics and sensitization towards surrounding environments. Schools will have special classes to give training on the other essential life skills such as carrying out banking, post office etc related tasks and constructive activities which can make the students self reliant in future and develop their personal skills. Schools will have special evening or night classes for non-privileged people, women and old age people which will include all the latest knowledge (Digital literacy.Drama and other competitions will also be part of the yearly curriculum. Schools will arrange trips at different places like tracking areas, Nature camps, iconic places and Research laboratories.
