Indian culture always teaches us to respect women. Women play a chief role in the socio-economic development of the society. Be it a mother, sister, daughter & wife, at every stage in her life she facilitates change in the family & society. With this thought in mind, we have crafted our programmes, dedicated towards empowering women and thereby empowering the society.
We organize comprehensive programmes focusing on health, wellness, education and self-defense etc. One such initiative is “Sanitization awareness programmes” carried out in villages, chawl areas of the cities & schools. Our expert team of doctors address primary queries relating to menstruation and menstrual hygiene to be maintained during those days. In order to make it understandable we perform some short Nukkad Dramas to educate them. Moreover, we distribute free sanitary napkins to them so they can lead a healthy life in future. Additionally, our team spread awareness about family planning and answer queries related to it.
Apart from this, spreading awareness about the child & mother wellness (specifically girl child) like nutrition for mother & child, basic immunization programme & various schemes of Gujarat & Central government related to it, with the help of ASHA and Anganwadi workers is our priority.
Firstly, we will try to set up a basic framework so we can provide the sanitary pads to needy women at free of cost or at very low cost and facilitating that would also provide employment to the other women. At schools and colleges located in villages, we want to install machines for dispatching sanitary pads and carry forward the sanitization awareness programme to destroy myths about menstruation with more teams of Nukkad Drama.
Similarly, we are planning to organize events that focus on women employment. We will arrange work opportunities with small self-help groups in future. Self-help groups provide routine meals at very low cost, through small stalls.
In Future, we want to arrange health checkups camps having expert gynaecologists that will add to our mother and child care programmes. One of the major developments in the coming months is to create a special dedicated department in our hospital that will host various seminars and small talks.
We will also host educational programmes providing special classes and training to women above the age of 20. It will provide information on getting employment and basic knowledge about women rights. Curriculum will also address topics related to Gender sensitization. Karate classes & self protections programmes dedicated to young girls to make them independent in all regards are at our utmost priority.
